Game made for the Trijam #314: "Pausing is the gameplay". I ran out of time, so I've only made a very short game...

CONTROLS

- WAD for movement: (W=Jump / A=left / D=right).

Space: Creative Pause.

- Left Mouse Button: Write a platform

- Right Mouse Button: Erase harmful objects.

- R: Restart button (in case you can´t end the level).

THE STORY

Calliope Vera (Vera to her friends) is a poet with exceptional creativity. With her handmade ink, she recreates reality on her papers with a special lyric beauty.

Overcome with envy, Livor Vorax, an ancient entity filled with hatred, attacks Vera and steals her ink. She becomes trapped in her last scroll. Using her power of "Creative Pause," she can perceive her surroundings and search for a way out.

By combining her power with her quill, she can rewrite reality, exit the scroll, and defeat Vorax, at least temporarily.

Cool game. Super stylish, and it’s a shame it’s short. Also, I didn’t quite understand why I couldn’t jump onto the “final” platform from below.. On the last level, I had to hold W to bounce off the platform’s collider in order to jump and surf onto the final level. It’s hard to explain. 10/10

Thanks for the feedback and for your words!!

The platform of the “exit portal” is not a Jumpthru platform (I did it on purpose). But I forgot to deactivate the option “Grab the ledge” of GDevelop platform options, so it can be possible to “double jump” at the edge of the exit border… ^^!

hah, but I thought it was necessary

Heheh, I understand… This is how the third level was made visually (GDevelop 5). The “Exit Portal” collider is small, so it needs a platform if the player don´t touch it in the jump (is the same in all the levels). The level design it´s really simple, only has 5-6 components. And… I don´t have much experience in programming, so, maybe there are some errors, but for me, it worked well ^^!

Finished the entire game, the visuals really stood out to me in this game:)

But that does not mean that the rest of this game isn't amazing. The rating i am going to give is obvious. Full 5 stars from me.

Could definitely expand to a full game, but the jam version itself is also great:)

Oh, thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it a lot ^^.
