The Limbo of Loss
Made for the "PangPangJam #Limbes", this game designed in Bitsy tells a very personal story about the tragedy of loss and its aftermath. How from one moment to another life can break down and leave you in limbo for years. This game doesn't have a happy ending, but it doesn't have an ending either, which is hopeful.
The game will undergo some minor changes in terms of design and translation (if you detect errors, please let me know).
It can be played in about 15-20 minutes.
Dedicated to all my family. They are my boat in this big ocean.

Miguel, foi unha experiencia conmovedora. Auténtica poesía en forma de xogo. Deus estea contigo. Saúdos dende Brasil.
Moitas grazas polo teu fermoso comentario!! Unha aperta grande dende Galicia!
I'm stuck at the first scene at the bank, I can only move one space to the left and back and after that it just keeps repeating the same dialogue. Idk if I'm doing something wrong??
I was worried this could happen. Go left and then go up. It´s the second part of the introduction. Sorry, I´ll fix this to make only one dialogue box at the begining.
Oк that worked, thanks :)
The epilogue got me in tears. The father knew and is still proud of his son. Ohhhh my heart ;-;
Oh, thanks! My cousin told us more things that suprised us. For example, he talked and danced with a young version of our grandmother.
Before she passed away, she said one day to her daughters: "I will dance when in heaven. It´s what I like more to do".
If you don't mind me asking, was this game based on a true story? Or just the concept of stuff your cousin told you on behalf of your departed relatives?
The game is totally a true story. I summarized some small details to make the game easier to play (and more things happened that day), but the story reflects the event with great detail.
My cousin told us a lot of things. He belive what he saw and heard when he was "out". And he completely changed his behavior after that... You (anyone) can believe him or not. That´s the "hope" part, I think. ;)
Thank you for sharing your story with us. You did such a great job at adapting something so personal into a game!
Thank you very much! :)
This game provides a truely horrible experience (in a good, artistic sense).
You've earned my respect.
Thank you very much, Fer ;)
Superb, told beautifully, more emotive than I could have imagined. Keep up the great work
